I know I could find it in guidance somewhere - how do we “word” the annual with discrepancy list? Do I have to “swing the gear” or can I just say “overhaul and test the retraction mechanism?”

Just so you have context - we have an aircraft that needs an annual. It also needs over a year’s restoration work. Itwillnot be done for probably a couple years - you can imagine the discrepancy list.
