Yesterday, out of curiousity I took the J3 to full throttle for a few seconds, while maintaining constant altitude. Temperature was about 90 degrees F and I was at about 1000 MSL. The speed stabilized at 112 mph indicated at 2950 rpm. Earlier this year, at about 65 degrees and similar altitude I was indicating 118 mph at 2950 rpm. I've not calculated how much of the indicated difference is due to density altitude, but did become curious about what the rest of you guys are turning top end, and how much difference you're seeing between spring and summer. What numbers are ya'll seeing?
