I have been having trouble keeping oil sticks in place during flight. They back out an inch or so leaving a mess after each flight. Photos IMG_1891 and 1892 are of my old oil stick. One of the tabs appears to be missing. IMG_893 and 1894 are of a new dip stick I bought from WagAero recently. When I tighten them neither one seems to give a real (over the center) snug fit.

I have been looking for another gasket at NAPA, etc. to add to either one but no luck so far and am about to cut one out of a sheet of gasket material. I have been told, also, that I might have to replace the oil sump. So far I have not been able to find a replacement sump - Aircraft Spruce is no help nor is Univair. I would appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks, Joe
