HI,
I call the experts and handyman of this forum.

We have replaced one rib, too old and too damaged, on a wing of our 1942 PIPER L-4B.
It is the rib N°12 at the end of left wing the final rib before th wing tip.
This new rib has been ordered from WAGAERO with the right reference, but as you can see in the photos,
the rib is a few inches shorter (1.18 ") at each extremty.

So what do you propose as a solution:
1 / move the rib towards the tip of the wing until it joins the wing-tip bow of the wing tip (about 1.57 " on the wood spar), but will this solution have any influence on the profile of the wing tip and the aerodynamic wing for flight?

2 / modify the new aluminum rib by putting a wooden wedge between twing-tip bow and the rib?

3 / change the front of the rib to make a new alu plate that will be longer and attaches to the wing-tip bow of the wing tip?

What would be the best way to do it for you?

I specify that the new rib was placed exactly in the same place as the old, exactly to 11.5" of the rib N ° 11.

Thank you all for your help and idea or solution.
