I recently bought an original 1940s Continental A-series parts manual and stuck inside were three old Continental service bulletins. I thought M46-23 was interesting in a couple ways. I have never seen this SB floating around so thought I would share it.

The historical reference to VJ Day, and associated fuel supply issues, was fascinating to me. The war was even getting referenced in service bulletins!

And a couple technical items caught my eye that are maybe still relevant today.
- Item 3. recommends using fuel "with no lead at all." Even autogas STCs today say to use 25% 100LL for lead when you are running mogas. But this seems at odds with what Continental states in this SB.
- Item 4. approves the use of "upper cylinder lubricators". There is always debate about these mysterious products but if you use them it looks like this SB would be good to keep in your files.

I will post the other two SBs sometime, too.
