Took my brother for a ride in the Cub last night. Out of Lake Elmo, crossed the St. Croix into Wisconsin, turned NW at the waterfalls in Willow River State Park, over the Arcola high bridge, Square Lake, checked out a couple apple orchards, then returned to Elmo just before sunset. Pulled wheels off the axles. Replacing tires this weekend. Asphalt is wearing out the tires too fast. Learned to fly on 1900' grass at Benson's in White Bear Lake (flying Cub, Clipper, Aeronca Defender).

Dad brought this Cub home in pieces in the back of a pick-up truck in 1974. We put it back together, and in 1994 we flew the Cub and dad's PA-16 Clipper to Sentimental Journey.

Oh by the way, I have some Federal skis - might consider selling - a set of 1500's (probably Cub rigging), a set of 1850's, and cute little tail ski (these were used on the Clipper).

More later.
