I had the same thing happen a couple of years ago. Today I was doing a steep climb for what seemed like a minute or two at about 1400 feet. Basically a steep climb to a take off stall. I felt the buffeting and put the nose down. Just about that time the engine stopped firing and dropped to idle. So the nose is down and in a couple of seconds the engine fired back up with no issues.
Funny because I had just practiced an extended engine out and was climbing out from the airport at the time.
I probably have about 3 gallons in the nose tank. I will dip it tomorrow.
So this a pretty steep angle, could the carburetor have gotten above the level of fuel in the tank?
