After 20 years of owning my J-3 project it is finally nearing flyable status! (I took it to a builder) It will not have an electrical system and I have no interest in installing one but I do need the capability to talk on the VHF from time to time. The aircraft will be flown primarily from my farm strip. I dont really need NAV either as I have a GPS and I think I remember how to read a sectional. I did swap my C-90 to slick mags and sheilded harnesses. So my questions...
Which handheld do you recommend?
Do I need an aircraft mounted antenna?
Many thanks in advance for any responses.
