I know no one wants to talk about this any more, like beating a dead dog but.. I still have problems sending/talk. I can usually hear well.
I use the ICOM A24, I have two sets of antenna plus the rubber ducky on the radio if I use it. One antenna is positioned in the wing with just two wires split and going at a 90 degree angle.
The other is one of those flexible flat ones positioned in my fuselage diagonally. Neither one works well, sounds like a sick cow with I talk.
I also tried a rubber ducky attached to a wire that I can move around inside of the cockpit. Not much better.
I saw a ducky attached through the top Plexiglas on the forum the other day. I was wondering if that position might work better?
Now, the culprit could be my Flight Com voice activated intercom that runs through my radio??
They work great on the ground!
