I am a CFI and am transitioning guys into a J-3. I am a low time TW pilot myself with only 100 hours of TW time (all in Cubs) I am wondering what tricks there are to get out a potential ground loop situation. I have found guys to be a bit excessive on the rudders and they can get into a oscillation where they are chasing the tail. Is adding power a good idea? Brakes (lol in a Cub)? When do you give up and just go for the ride rather than make things worse? Any help/suggestions would be very welcome.
