Delivered my C-85 engine to the shop finishing up my Cub for me. They expect to begin assembly this week, pending receipt of necessary hardware.

I expect to be picking it up and flying it home sometime soon after Thanksgiving.......Merry Christmas to me I hope.

While it isn't an Oshkosh award winner, it will be a good solid, strong Cub and mostly as my dad began the restoration before he died. He had completed the recover through first color. I had it wet sanded and repainted inside and out to ensure a good clean finish and also to match my brother's Cub as closely as possible. Dad bought this Cub (with bad fabric) and flew it home in 1969 and it hasn't flown since. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to it flying again.

I wish I was able to finish the plane myself, but work and family just don't make that a reality. I am fortunate having inherited it and having a job which allows me to afford having someone else complete it for me.
