Just wondering what you use for general lubrication on your Cub for places like hinge points and pins, trim system, control sticks, and throttle cable and the like.
Was advised when I first bought the airplane that it would be preferable just to leave most lube points dry rather than use a petroleum based lube, as this would attract dust and dirt, forming an abrasive paste.
I've used LPS exclusively as it slowly evaporates with time, leaving behind no residue. On the few occasions that I've had to pull a bolt or pin that's had a steady diet of LPS, I've found it to be clean with no traces of wear or corrosion.
FWIW.
