Over western Montgomery County , Texas, 90 foot pines and I was at 800 feet, and total engine stoppage. Wife in back seat looking for a parachute, quick. Milked it to a very very small opening , horse pasture, and just cleared trees, and a cross fence in the middle of the pasture.
Sinking fast, pulled up the nose, but slammed it down hard and busted the cabane strut at the left attachment point to main gear. Slide about 89 feet in 3 foot hay field. Got prop yellowed tagged at San Antonio Prop for $ 500.00. Looking for Left gear as replacement, or fixture to jig the old gear in for repair?

Took N 32615 down for 25 year Make Over, with new wing recovered, and ready to finish up soon.

Any suggestions on replacement Left Gear ???

Dan
