Fellow Cub Pilots,

I just purchased a new fuel cap/gauge from Univair to replace my old, bent up one with the original cork. The new unit has a different type of material at the base I can't identify? (cork, rubber?)

Is there anything I should do to the new float, i.e. varnish it, etc.? Also, without draining the tank and measuring it's accuracy, should I expect any indications other than what I'm used to with the original system?

Thanks,

Mike-
