Fitting Engine Cowling

I replaced my engine cowling with a new one from Wag Aero, with which I am pretty happy. In the course of fitting it, it seems that the top pieces rub the exhaust manifolds, and after about 100 hours, the sheet metal has rubbed sufficiently that I need to install a doubler, or a new, properly fitted, piece of cowling. Does anyone have any suggetions about how to properly fit the cowling? Also, just a source of the sheet metal pieces, not the nose pieces? Thanks, Harry Ballance
