Hi guys, I've got a couple of FIeld Artillery questions:

1. Does anybody have a photo of the L-4s operated by the 227th Field Artillery/29th infantry Division? I believe that their code letters were 43-X.

I live 7 miles from their old airfield at RAF Okehampton/Folly Gate in Devon U.K., and I am thinking of repainting my aircraft to commemorate their unit.

2. Were U.S. Army liaison pilots considered to be attached to the infantry or artillery? I ask this question because I would like to know if liaison pilots wore infantry rifles or artillery cannon insignia on their shirt collars?

3. And, did they wear their shirt collar insignia during combat operations?

Info and photos appreciated.

Thanks,
Joe
