Saw this posted on another board. Some nice photos, but what caught my eye was the seeming over-taut fabric on this Cub. Perhaps it is just the low light near sundown, but to my untrained eye, the fabric appears to be extremely tight. The very distinct lines of the ribs and false ribs are apparent. In a couple of other photos, the ribs in the ailerons are also extremely noticeable.

Second, the Cub is listed as a 1946 J-3C. Wasn't the small overhead window a pre-war detail? I thought by 46 the larger window was in use.

This is all about my own curiosity, nothing else.
