I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience repairing ceconite fabric with polyfiber materials? A friend of mine punched about a 8 or 10 inch hole in the bottom of the fuselage fabric on his Cub while on skies this winter. I have recovered my cub completely two times and a few minor patches here and there but I always used the Polyfiber system. Thinking that he had Polyfiber also I volunteered to halp him patch it. When I found out that it was Ceconite I told him that it wouldn't work. He then talked with an A&P who told him that since the fabric on both was Dacron that the Polyfiber materials would work. Besides the legal aspect has anyone tried it?
