Was finally able to run my O-200 engine today. Only ran it for 3 or 4 minutes. Then we did a compression check. The low cylinder was 75 over 80 but was leaking out the exhaust pipe. The engine only has about 50 hrs SMOH with new Millennium Cylinders installed at overhaul. The over haul was done about 6 years ago, and was flown for 50 hours before the airplane was damaged. No prop strike. The engine overhaul was done by a reputable aircraft engine overhaul shop. The engine has been sitting for 5 years or so, in a dry climate. My IA and myself both think we need to just run the engine more, thinking/hoping the valve will seat better.
