Hi all,
Over the last year there has been an explosion of demand for hangar space out where I keep my Cub in Texas (about 1hr north of San Antonio). I'm on a grass strip and the airport owner is cashing out his retirement (he's in his 70s) to meet this demand. In less than a month he has already filled up the hangars despite having not finished construction! He has started planning out stage 2 for additional hangars. Even the local airport up there is full and does not have any plans to build more hangars despite having a waiting list. Furthermore, there are some smaller towns that are starting to build more airports (although private). From talking to pilots and also looking at the sectional for my area, I do see some possible gold mines for airport placement and so I've always had the thought of opening my own place. Then again, I always thought it was be cool to open up my own pizza place. ;D

Wondering what the "market" is like near you guys?
