I just had a PM question about a data plate. There are lots of threads about data plates, but no actual discussion of differences year to year. I have an original 1946 data plate, and will happily post a photo. You can probably bet that all the postwar J3s used this format in aluminum, riveted to the underside of the baggage lid.

Hopefully others can share? I have a 1939 J4 that may not have an original, since it is not stamped. Oval in shape, and on the instrument panel.
