Hi All

Whilst testing my Cubs carb earlier today, my mechanic managed to drive over a marker tyre on the side of the runway.

See pictures for damage to the right hand side landing gear.

He says that he is able to fix it by straightening the bent section to get the entire piece ''flat'' again, then removing the bent section and welding in another length of tubing.

My inclination is to simply replace the landing gear, as I need to be able to rely on my landing gear not folding up in the event of a hard landing.

What are everyone's thoughts on this?

Cheers
Ivan
