What is involved in converting a -8FJ fuel injected C-85 into a carbureted C-85-8F? I've heard there is a Piper Service Bulletin, but cannot locate one. If one finds such an engine on a J-3, what documentation should I expect there to be on it? The -8FJ isn't on the type certificate for the J-3C. Is changing the engine model from FJ to F a major modification if there is no service bulletin for the change?

I don't want to dive into something that is going to be expensive to correct.
