I joined about a week ago with landing gear questions. It looks like I am going to roll the dice on that Cub, so an introduction is in order since I will be a Cub owner.

I hope this does not come off as boastful.

Just turned 54 last month.
In the late 80s, I served in the US Army aboard a Grumman OV-1 Mohawk as an aerial sensor specialist.

Earned my PPL in 1996, CPL in 1998.
Currently, I hold ASEL, ASES, AMEL, Helicopter, and CFII.

Earned my A&P in 2003, IA in 2010.

I am currently the Regulatory Compliance Manager and Director of Maintenance (DOM) for a Part 145 company in SC (since 2004), and a Part 135 company in AK (since 2011). I also do contract maintenance for a company operating in the middle east (since 2009). I travel a lot.

Built a Steen Skybolt over several years. Finished it in 2015. Sold it in 2017.

I currently own a Schweizer 269C, a Cessna 182 ..... and now a 1946 Cub.
I still have a hangar in SC, but have been living in AK since May of this year.

Would be happy to make some AK flying friends!!
Somebody will need to teach me to fly with skiis!!
