I recently joined the forum and really appreciate the expertise members provide. Thanks in advance for the help you give me.

I purchased a C90-8F to replace the A75-8 in my 1940 J3C65. My specific question is "What Continental oil sump is used for C90-8F J3 installation?"

Continental produced about 8 different sumps for the C90-8F. The engine I purchased came off a Champ. The filler neck on its sump is on the left side and the filler neck and cap are all below the bottom engine mount.

The A75 oil sump filler neck and dip stick are on the right side and the cap top is about 5 inches above the bottom engine mount.

The C90-8F was standard with the PA11. What oil sump did it use, and would it work on the J3?

Thanks again for your help.

Craig
