Hi everyone

I am new to this forum and if all goes to plan there may well be a few posts from me.

I am looking to buy a Cub J3 project with a friend of mine and we found one advertised online. However before commiting to a viewing it would be good to ask a few questions. Can anyone give us some ideas and tips as what to ask for? Not having bought a project like this before let alone a J3, we're not familiar with the finer details and the things that are particular to the Cub.

This is what I got so far:

- Does this aircraft have any accident history?
- Have any repairs been made to the aircraft including welding repairs?
- What was it's last registration and does it still have all the registration documents (last permit and airworthiness certificate)
- Who was it last registered with and in what country?
- Does it have all the log-books (for engine and airframe.)
- Are there any parts that although present are either damaged, worn or corroded to such an extend that they need replacing?
- Does it come with a propeller and what prop is it?
- Do you have any more images including interior pictures?

The adverts says it doesn't have a prop hub nor a front wind screen.

Any help and advice appreciated.
