I just purchased a disassembled "Cubby," located in Louisiana, and now have to transport the parts to Washington State for inspection, rebuild, and re-assembly. I seek any and all advice regarding such a long-distance transport.

I considered towing the a/c on an open trailer, but the number of small and loose parts militates against that option, I have decided. Hence, I am addressing either renting a 24- or 26-foot truck, or purchasing an enclosed trailer.

Since I surmise that there must be folks on this forum who have been confronted with moving Cubs, I write to solicit any suggestions and advice.

Also, I am curious to know how one might find others, who might wish to have their a/c moved from the Pacific Northwest to a more southern clime. If I purchase a truck and trailer, I might be able to offer transportation services to someone else, wishing to move an a/c in the opposite direction, which would help with expenses.

Thanks for any advice and counsel!
