I was given a whole unopened case of
AeroShell W100/SAE 50...I recently noticed a expiration of December 10, 2013... this expiration date is only on the box, not the individual oil bottles themselves.
It had been in a heated building since new, up to when I was given it- it’s now in the hangar on my farm. I asked several friends about this- they said they never noticed a expiration date on their cases of oil.. I

suppose there is a logical/scientific reason.. so I started reading up on aviation oil... anyone want to add their 2 cents ?
