Hi All,

I'm going to be replacing the bungee cords on my J3 during the upcoming annual. While the shock struts are off the airplane, I'm also going to replace the internal leathers and hardware. When I reassemble the struts is it advisable to treat the inside with an anti-corrosion coating such as Corrosion-X? Should I put a light coating of grease on the 'slide'?

What is the proper preparation/assemble technique?

Thanks,

John
