Interesting color choice. Apparently it was recovered and painted white and pink is vinyl.

What most caught my attention was the "1940 Piper Cub, it started out life as a J3F-50 and was converted to a J3C-65 in 1975." The FAA website shows it an a J3F-50 but engine shows CONT A&C65 Series. Of course, as JimC has well taught us all there ain't no C-65.

I'd love to see the long books out of simple curiosity.

I wish the seller luck. $42K seems a premium for any Cub though.
