Evening all,

I am in need to change a tire - first time since I purchased the plane a year ago

I have a J2 with standard drum brakes and 800x4 wheels - is there a trick to getting the Rim off the Axle?

I removed the split pin and the nut.... however the rim wouldn't budge (as in slide) off the axle - is there something I'm missing or perhaps not releasing on the brake unit somewhere to let it slide off? Ive never changed this sort of set up before - - I'm used to standard disk brakes on other production aircraft where you undo the caliper bolts and the wheel and disk slide away together

Thanks in advance

Regards
Matthew
