We ran into another problem while installing new Univair cowling parts. It is Piper part #72651, Bracket Nose Cowl-left, labeled #8 on the parts drawing on page #29 in the J3 parts manual. It appears that it was manufactured in a mirror image as to what it should be, it would place the cowling lug 1” to close to the engine. Fifinella, you have the blueprint? Clyde has Univair looking into it. We will probably make the modifications here to expedite the assembly. The picture shows an installed original next to the new part.
