i have been flying a cub for many hours on my simulator...got really into the sightseeing properties of the 3 as well as the handling characteristics...built a 1/4 scale rc years ago and have been hooked since...2k + hrs on sim. retired graphic artist. lots of free time. have done some drawings of 3's and other planes, but 3's and stearmen are my favs. the observation i have is that in all my research, in every photo of any person inside, outside, standing near, talking about, thinking about, or dreaming about a 3 has a certain smile on their face...not just any smile...it is the same smile on every face, in every picture...so if someone says you have a 'cub' or a 'j3' smile, you will know what they are talking about. to view more of my work go to photobucket and type chuckrhodes into search open my album and run it as a slideshow we all have one love in common, besides the wife, the three...
