Pre-flighting the recently purchased AL3 revealed a 5" gash in the solid rubber tailwheel. In 3.5hrs of operating the Cub, the slit in the tire came as a surprise. Is a hard rubber tire suited for paved runways, is there an alternative to the hard rubber tail wheel? jt
