I had another issue this last week with the carb heat sticking. I really need to replace the carb air box because it is dented, there is a lot of play on the shaft and the ratchet detent grooves are pretty worn. I redressed the grooves this last annual inspection and it helped but the air box is just tired and worn out. I can put a new kit in it but I would still have a beat up looking air box.

I looked on Univair and they want $400 + for theirs. ACS has one that is for J-3 Type aircraft ($167.95) and one specifically for the A-65 ($237.95). My air box does not have a part number anywhere on it that I could find.

Anybody have any input on this?
