2 1/2 hours flying around doing nothing!

Ok, so I know I am "preaching to the choir" but I finally got a "perfect cub day" (80 degrees no wind) and had a full tank of gas. I went out to practice wheel landings but after about 6, I just had to venture off just above the fields. I ended up flying around just doing nothing but buzzing lakes and fields and after 2 hours of just drilling holes in the sky with the door and window open I began to wonder when I should call it quits. I couldnt come up with a good reason since I still had gas, but thought I'd better get back and clean the plane up. I finally got back to the little grass strip I hanger at and an R/C pilot walked up and said that he had just finished building a 1/3 scale cub and was going to fly it for the first time. He invited me over to watch. He was looking intently at the inside of my cub and I realized he'd never been in one. I told him that before he flew his model he needed a good frame of reference and that he needed to go for a ride with me. I've never seen a grown man so "giddy". I took him for a 1/2 hour ride and he was squeeling with glee like a little girl. He offered to pay for gas, but his obvious excitement was more than the payment I needed....this is what our planes were made for! I was "hooked" on the cub first time I flew it, and Ive only been able to fly it this past winter and had a great time with it, but finally got to fly it as its supposed to be today and had one of my best flying days ever. I know you can all relate, and are probably thinking yeah, so what, but I just had to share my great cub flying day with you.
