Classic 1945 J-3 rebuilt in 2005. 65HP Continental engine, 8:50 x 6 tires, Cleveland Wheels & Brakes, ELT, 13 Gallon wing tank, Leather Seats, Slick Mags, & more. Empty weight: 774lbs.
LOG BOOK ENTRY FROM 10/12/2005:
Aircraft disassembled for rebuild. Right wing rebuilt, both spars replaced with new, new wing tip bows installed. Fuselage, all control surfaces, sandblasted and epoxy painted. All control cables replaced, new floor boards installed. Complete aircraft recovered with Stits Poly Fiber materials per STC SA1008WE. New boot cowl, cowling, windshield, and side windows installed. (4) New Univair sealed wind struts installed with rolled threads on forks (4). New exhaust and muffler installed. New bracket air filter BA-4106 installed per STC SA71GL. New leather seat cushions installed, burn cert.âs on file. New bungee cords installed on shock struts, new rudder return springs installed on front pedals. New Cleveland wheel and brake Kit 199-71 per STC SA11RM1.25 New tail wheel steering springs and chains installed. Aircraft reassembled with all new hardware. Replaced ELT with new, and remote switch installed. New throttle cable. All new placards installed. Aircraft weighted, new equipment list made.
