Has anyone tried the flying shoes sold by Lift Aviation? I believe you can get them from
Sportyís and Pilot Mall. They are a little pricey, but Iíve been considering them because Iíve
    also found that ...

I've never been there, but I've seen on their website where Poplar Grove, IL (C77) has a J3 cub
in their training fleet. That airport is west of Chicago and just east of Rockford.

I don't believe it is the app slowing things down. I have an old crappy iPhone and it works
fine. You probably need to make sure your memory isn't full or make sure your updates are
    complete. You can ...

I'm not saying a BRS chute is right for a J-3 (you would turn it into a one person airplane
just due to W&B), but when I use to fly a Cirrus, it gave my wife assurance that she at least

I was there for the safety briefing and was expecting more details. We did not have a
preselected lead pilot or a preselected altitude. A speed of 75 was mentioned, but I suggested

It was a great event. The folks at Hartford did a super job. Unfortunately the weather kept
quite a few away on Friday. I had an excellent time flying in to Oshkosh today.

I also kept expecting some sort of communication. I finally emailed them and did get a
preliminary schedule yesterday for the weekend. Here are the basics: Friday:11-3 Lunch for
    purchase from BBQ Food...

I also just went back and looked at some pictures I took of the plane about 12 flight hours ago
when we did an oil change. You can see the loose clamp and sleeve. This is something we
    definitely shoul...

Guys, thanks for the help and ideas. I flew it to 46cubpilot's place and he had it fixed in
less than a minute. On the flight there I also heard a little 'popping' when I would retard the
    throttle to ...
