Default Need J3 instruction in San Francisco North bay area.

Title says it all.

It's been 15 years since I have flown a Cub. Need a refresher course as well as a BFR. Use to fly a Citabria until a couple years ago, but the plane is not available any more.
My L4 replica project should be flying some time next summer, and I want to be ready.

Thanks.

Didier, I think it will be a challenge. I'd start by visiting Schellville on 9,10 Sept and ask around. You might end up doing your BFR at Livermore in a Citabria . Maybe you can fly the Citabria from the rear ? You need to fly your L4 yourself for 40 hours since it is amature experimental

Why Sept 9/10? Will you be there?

Open hangar day...Maybe more people there those days to talk to. Have a friend at Yolo that knows everyone in vintage aviation. I'll ask him for you. I see Sonoma Skypark has open hangar days then too...

Call Williams Soaring. They may have a CFI on the staff, and there is a J-3 in the hangar, along with a Champ and Super Cub.

I do that kind of stuff, but I am in San Diego.

Didier, talked to a friend at Yolo that knows everybody..and he was stumped. Couldn't even think of where to get a tailwheel endorsement now. Best idea is Atitude Aviation at Livermore. Might check at Petaluma though. Not sure of the value...never done it, but how about flying a Citabria from the rear seat ?

Thanks Huston,
I will keep investigating.
Actually, I might have a lead in Vacaville Nut Tree Airport. Funny, this is where I work...

Who is it ? You know I'm right up the road at Yolo. Never know when I might need to switch CFI for BFR
