Default Help finding Cub 8.00 x 4.00 Wheel assembly

Gentleman;

I just discovered that one of my main wheels on J-5A Cub Cruiser needs to be replaced. Of the many extra parts I have for her, that is not one. Does anyone know who/where I might contact to find one?

Thanks in advance for any help folks.

Mark

I see them frequently on eBay. In fact, I just bought a set myself as one of my wheels is needing replaced as well.

Do you need a 750lb or a 900lb one?

Aren't they 900# or 950# static load rated on a J-3? Didn't know there was a 750. J4 unique?

Worse comes to worst, Grove makes a new wheel. But these things are all over the place, because so many went to the Cleveland wheels. Cheaper tires.

Apparently there was a Model 840 wheel rated at 800 lbs. Then two versions of the Model 841 wheel, one rated at 900 lbs and one at 950 lbs.

Gentleman;

Thank you all very much ... I'm on it! And yes, my J-5A needs an 800# wheel or higher

There is an excellent article on these wheels in Cub Clues #143, Nov/Dec '07; too much info to summarize here but it is very comprehensive.
