This filter will not stick out of the cowling since adapter/oil filter replaces the TCM oil screen housing.

You should not need one in Florida. My engines go way beyond TBO with just occasional oil changes. That includes the big Lycoming on the Super Dec.

Thinking this will interfere with exhaust on a Cub.

It's bigger than the stock oil screen that it replaces, and the stock oil screen interferes with the exhaust on the -12.
